When you hire Desert Winds, you’re not just hiring a Professional Painting Contractor. You’re hiring good people who genuinely care about you, your home, and our community. 

Who Are We

At Desert Winds Painting, we are an honest, hard working, and determined team who takes our work very seriously. We care about each other, our community, and all of our clients in a very real way. Don’t be surprised if you see one of our vans pulled over on the side of the road to pick up a bag of trash that fell out of someone’s trailer, or helping someone push their car off of the road.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide painting services that exceed your expectations and strive to redefine the industry as we know it. Customer Service is the heart of our business, and that shines through with every project. We are as thorough as possible when assessing the needs of your project, however, sometimes little details can get missed. Unlike your average contractor, we don’t nickel and dime you for those small tasks that went unaccounted for. We just take care of it for you.

What We Do

Our 6 Step Painting Process


Initial Consultation

At our first point of contact, we will identify exactly what your needs are in a painter. Unfortunately, painting is a common task in maintaining your home, and by taking care of it now, you can help prevent costly repairs in the future. Our goal is to set up a time for an estimate that will work best for everyone involved. The ideal estimate appointment will involve our estimator, Jacob, you, and anyone else who will have any kind of input on colors, finishes, and what is or isn’t getting painted. This will help us provide the most accurate estimate and will help avoid confusion during the process.



When our estimator, Jacob, shows up to give you your estimate, you can expect it to take anywhere from half an hour to an hour. During this time, he’ll ask you about some of your preferences. If you’re getting an estimate for exterior painting, he might ask you about colors, areas getting painted, and he might make some recommendations. For interior painting, he might ask about whether or not you have kids or pets, if you have a lot of visitors, and he may want to turn the lights on and off to see the rooms in a different view. No two paint jobs are alike, so your estimate will be tailored to meet your specific needs. Our current clients absolutely love us, but we may not be the right fit for every client! If you have work that we can’t take care of for you, we can absolutely refer you to a reputable contractor that is a good fit for your scenario.



Picking colors and scheduling may seem like small things, but they’re not- these are the fundamentals of a successful painting job. Planning out your project is key to make sure everything goes smoothly from start to finish! A big part of being an effective painter means planning ahead for what’s happening in every step of the process. From choosing color schemes that will look good with your home or office space, getting approval from property management or an HOA (if it applies), making sure we can have all of the necessary supplies on hand. With the paint shortages in the nation right now, choosing colors can have a big impact on overall scheduling. We will make this process as easy as possible, and can even connect you with a local interior/exterior designer if you need one!


Painting (This is the fun part)

Our painters work efficiently and make sure that we produce a high-quality job while providing an exceptional experience from start to finish. You can reach out with any questions at anytime during the process, and if you have any concerns, just let us know and we’ll take care of it right away! All you have to do is sit back, relax, and watch your home transform!


Finishing Touches

When we finish a job, the last step is to make sure everything cleaned up and put back in place. We want you to be 100% satisfied before we are done and continue our mission to make the entire community beautiful. If you have any concerns or if there is anything you want to add to the project, this is usually a good time to bring it up to the painters!

Congratulations! You’ve made it through your home improvement project. Don’t be surprised that it was easier than you expected. We get that a lot! Our painters work hard for us, and absolutely do not expect to get tipped for their services, as we pay them well! However, if you are so thrilled that you want to reward them a little extra, the industry standard for tipping your painter is 2-4% of the job size.
